LeapFTP stores all your FTP login passwords at following location

C:\Program Files(x86)\LeapFTP 3.0\Users\Default\sites.dat

LeapFTP uses custom structure to store all FTP configurations in the above file “sites.dat”.

Here are more details how to decode this file. This file starts with 16 bytes of size and FTP records related information. After that follows first FTP record which contains FTP site name, port, server, username & encoded password in that order.

LeapFTP uses XOR algorithm to encode each of the FTP password with predefined static 8 byte key. Then this encoded password is saved in the “sites.dat” file for each FTP configuration.
